The XtoZ Journey Begins

Little did I know the what I’ve called “family vacation” during my 36 years of existence is in fact something crowned one of the top travel trends of 2018: multigenerational travel. For me, taking vacations with my mom, aunts, uncles, cousins and now my child has been the norm.

My family travel squad ranges in age from 4 (Generation Z) to 75 (Baby Boomers). We cover as many as three generations in any given trip. It is not uncommon for us to have a herd of 10 or more. We’ve done a variety of travel including beach retreats, all inclusive resorts, cruises and most recently a trek through Spain. But more importantly, we have an even longer where to next wishlist. Truth is that while no trip is perfect, we always return home content and committed to the next trip.

So, with a desire to start a blog for a variety of reasons, I decided to share tales of our travels, lessons learned and other tidbits aimed at inspiring multigenerational travel. I hope you will join me on the journey and engage in the conversation.

I’d love to hear from others who have a desire for multigenerational travel, have questions or ideas for the blog. Feel free to reach out at xtoztravel@gmail.com. Here’s to many more adventures to see the world and sharing our XtoZ adventures with the world.
